To ensure every child in Durham enters school ready to succeed, we lead community strategies for children birth to age 5 and their families that promote healthy development and learning and enhance access to high-quality care.
Administers Smart Start and NC Pre-K state funds locally and directing those dollars to programs that measurably strengthen Union County’s children and families.
To promote positive early learning experiences and coordinate community services for families so that by age five, every child is healthy and prepared to succeed.

To build partnerships between parents and organizations and to mobilize public and private community resources in order to help strengthen children and families.
