The mission of the Hoke Reading/Literacy Council is to provide basic literacy instruction including English as a Second Language and introductory computer classes, so that all persons served may further their education and build for themselves a better life.

To inspire, educate, and support people to farm, garden, and live organically.

To aid students with a demonstrated financial need in reaching their educational goals, while supporting the mission of ACC.

To advance a high quality, comprehensive, accountable early childhood system that benefits each child in North Carolina beginning with a healthy birth.

To prepare all young children for school and life-long success through community partnerships.

To improve literacy by providing free, individualized tutoring services to residents of Craven, Jones and Pamlico Counties.

To foster and promote the growth, progress and general welfare of Fayetteville Technical Community College, provide supplementary financial support to the College and its students, and advance and enrich the services provided for students, the community, alumni, faculty and staff of the College.

To enhance the quality of life of citizens of the Westend Community and the City of Durham through education, community development, health care, job training, and human enrichment, especially targeting youth and the elderly.

The Orange County Partnership for Young Children was founded as a nonprofit agency in 1993, as the first Smart Start agency in the state. The mission of the Partnership is to ensure that all young children arrive at school healthy and ready to succeed.
