Director of Development - Special Events

This role manages and implements signature fundraising special events and campaigns throughout North Carolina to sustain and increase funding for Special Olympics North Carolina.

Manage all aspects of signature special event fundraising events and campaigns.
Recruit participants, sponsors, and other funders.
Prepare and monitor an expense and revenue budget.
Manage vendor relationships for items needed to incentivize participation in special events/campaigns.
Work in partnership with the communications staff to ensure timely digital and visual marketing of events to the public.
Work in partnership with other development staff to maximize appropriate participation by donors and other key constituencies.
Create sponsorship packages to recruit businesses to engage their employees in special events.
Manage online fundraising platforms in collaboration with the digital marketing staff.
Oversee volunteer committees that will assist in implementing assigned special events and campaigns.
Other duties as assigned.
