How Your Nonprofit Can Host a Phone or Text Bank to Reach Voters

Local election turnout often hovers below 25% often due to limited awareness of election dates, deadlines, and the importance of local races. The decisions that most impact your community and the people you serve (not to mention the climate your nonprofit operates in) are made by officeholders in your town and city governments, so now is the time to educate and mobilize voters.

Reaching voters via phone or text is more effective than mailers and emails, and it can be a safe and viable alternative to hosting in-person events. It's also a tactic that your staff and volunteers can really enjoy as they get to interact directly with voters, providing reminders about upcoming elections, and answering voter questions. With a little work on the front-end, you can set up a phone or text bank quickly and re-use your systems and scripts in future cycles.

During this webinar, we'll walk through the process of setting up your GOTV operation, including templates and leads to make it easy. Plus, Ahmed Butt, Civic Engagement Coordinator at Asian American Federation will share how his organization harnessed the power of text-banking.

Registered participants will receive the recording and slides after the webinar.
