In this fun and conversational workshop, presenter Eve Rose Borenstein will offer her “tips” on the Form 990’s meld of tax-requirements and “transparency disclosures.” In the latter category, the session will cover Part VII, Section A’s “one size fits all” reporting on managers and their compensation along with tips on “do’s and don’ts” related to Part VI’s Governance Disclosures and their intersections with both compensation practices AND Schedule L’s sunshine-reporting on insider transactions. On the “tax requirement” side, she’ll do a refresher on the public charity “testing” undertaken on Schedule L’s Parts II and III and also highlight where the 990’s Statement of Revenue imports “tax” standards relating to fundraising events and sales. The goal for this session is to have novices and those already well-familiar with the 990 pick up pointers on arenas that often confound.
Participants can earn 8 CPE credits. The event is a post-conference workshop of the NCACPA Not-For-Profit Accounting Conference.
