We serve mostly low-income students of color and operate out of the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church-West.
The purpose of our program is to foster responsible behavior among Durham’s young people, to deter court-referred youth from becoming repeat offenders and to decrease the dropout rate of students in Durham school.
The mission of SOAR Outreach is to provide low-income and homeless youth in Wake County improved opportunities to excel in their education by ensuring that all children in our schools have equal access to basic personal care and hygiene items.
