NC 211 Team Lead

United Way of North Carolina (UWNC) is the state association for 50 local United Ways and administers the statewide NC 211 system which includes housing one of two call centers that deliver 2-1-1 services in North Carolina. The Call Center Team Lead serves as the first line of support for the UWNC Call Center in Cary and ensures the continuity of daily operations and the successful delivery of quality service. Triangle Residential Options for Substance Abusers (TROSA) is a comprehensive, long-term, residential substance abuse recovery program located in Durham, North Carolina. The position of Clinical Counselor is designed to provide individual and group counseling services to individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.

Event Planning and Facility Coordinator

The Event Planning and Facility Coordinator is responsible for the planning and operations of events at The Avila Center in North Durham. The position also helps manage the 50-acre, multi-building facility. The person will work with Self-Help staff to develop and improve operational systems and support organizations looking for community space that furthers their mission-focused work. The position will also assist with property management activities of The Avila Center. As part of Self-Help, Avila’s mission is to support and connect community organizers and leaders working together for systemic change in the South and beyond. The role requires a strategic thinker, effective communicator, experienced event coordinator as well as the ability to fulfil hands-on, day-to-day tasks.

Carolina Public Press, an award-winning nonprofit news organization devoted to investigative, in-depth and independent journalism for all of North Carolina, seeks a new executive director.

The executive director will lead a high-performing, innovative and mission-driven team of professionals to lead Carolina Public Press towards meeting and surpassing its vision to be North Carolina’s largest and most impactful wholly independent investigative nonprofit news organization. The executive director has leadership and oversight responsibility for an operating budget of nearly $1M from multiple and variable revenue sources.
