Location: Organization is based in Chapel Hill and Cary, but position will primarily telecommute.  Occasional travel within Triangle area.

$18 p/hour DOE

The Psychoanalytic Center of the Carolinas (PCC) is a non-profit organization that promotes and supports psychoanalytic education, practice, and service in the Carolinas.  We are looking to hire part time help to implement our array of special and ongoing community, educational and fundraising programs.

Position Overview
Reporting to the Administrator, the Programs Manager will lead the collaborative work with PCC committees to implement an array of special and ongoing community and educational programs.  Additionally, the Programs Manager will lead the collaborative development and implementation of gift giving programs as well as manage the planning and execution of fundraising events.

This position is 12-18 hours per week over 4-5 days each week. Occasional weekend work is required, (around 4-5 Saturdays per year for special programs).  The organization is based in Chapel Hill and Cary, however the Programs Manager will primarily telecommute.  Occasional travel within the Triangle area is expected. 

Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.  Two years of experience in program development/management, preferably in a non-profit organization.
• Experience with event planning and implementation.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and written/verbal communication skills. Flexible and adaptable. Able to manage multiple projects.
• Experience with fundraising and maintaining relationships with donors is preferred.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of grant proposal writing.
• Interest and passion for community based programs, mental health and/or psychoanalysis, and non-profit work preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of business management concepts.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to successfully work with all key partners and stakeholders.
• Demonstrate initiative and good judgement.
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends during scheduled program events and meetings.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and good driving record.
• Reliable computer and internet access
