Description:

Inclusive Development International is a human rights organization working to make the international economic system more just and inclusive.  We are seeking a skilled Office Coordinator to undertake a variety of day-to-day bookkeeping and clerical tasks.

The Office Coordinator plays an integral part in ensuring that our office operations run smoothly and that the organization is able to carry out its activities successfully.  The ideal candidate will be, above all, a highly organized and competent professional with great communication skills.  She or he will be comfortable dealing with people and able to carry out administrative duties with accuracy and speed. 

This is a part-time position, initially for 20 hours a week, with the potential to evolve into a full time position in the second half of 2018.  The position is based in Asheville, North Carolina.  Start date: January 2, 2018

Responsibilities

• Follow office workflow procedures to ensure maximum efficiency
• Maintain donor and employee files and expense records with effective filing systems
• Support Asheville and Southeast Asia teams with various administrative tasks (making travel arrangements, organizing meetings, taking notes, etc.)
• Monitor and process expenditures, bank wires and reimbursements and handle all office contracts (rent, service, etc.)
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties and update the accounting system
• Coordinate payroll and employee-related process
• Monitor office supplies inventory and place orders

Qualifications

• Proven experience as office coordinator or in a similar roles
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles and office management systems and procedures
• Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and QuickBooks software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Reliable with patience and professionalism
• Good sense of humor
• Bachelor’s degree; BSc/BA in business administration, accounting or a relevant field is a plus
