Carolina Migrant Network

The Carolina Migrant Network (CMN) was founded in 2019 to combat the systemic targeting of undocumented immigrants in North Carolina. To this day we remain the only organization providing full, pro-bono legal representation to both detained and non-detained immigrants in North or South Carolina and have extended our reach throughout the south by representing clients detained in Georgia, Mississippi, and Louisiana. In 2022, CMN absorbed its grassroots sister organization, Comunidad Colectiva (CC), a Latinx Womxn-led organization focused on organizing young people to combat both Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations and anti-immigrant policies at a state and local level. Our core mission is to build and sustain services for migrants targeted by ICE to access compassionate and competent pro-bono legal representation while also providing nonpartisan civic education and leadership development to community members impacted by the immigration detention and enforcement system.
