The United Way seeks to be the steadfast leader that all can depend on in the face of any issue and the source of real solutions in an uncertain world.
Guided by the Jewish values of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) and Tzedakah (righteous giving), the mission and purpose of The Jewish Federation of Raleigh-Cary are to mobilize human and financial resources to support and strengthen our local and regional Jewish community and to meet the shared obligations of our local community to Israel and international Jewry. Seeking to strengthen Jewish identity, the Federation serves as the facilitating force that connects generations, congregations and the unaffiliated alike.
The Hunter Huss Alumni Scholarship Foundation, a nonprofit Public Charity per IRS Sect 501(c)(3) founded in 2018, is based upon the conviction that an educated citizenry is essential to a healthy democracy. The Scholarship Foundation assists with access to post-secondary education to Seniors at Hunter Huss High School who otherwise would not have the financial means to fulfill their educational goals.
The Nantahala Health Foundation (NHF) is committed to collaborating with organizations in the six-county region and the Qualla Boundary to build capacity and address areas that significantly affect the health and well-being of all people in the community we serve.
With the vision of “building on the past to develop our community’s future,” The NHF Board is working through a strategic planning process that focuses on values centered around community, equity, innovation and collaboration.
