  • The Blue Ridge National Heritage Area serves as the steward of the living traditions of our region, protecting and promoting the unique music, crafts, outdoors, foodways and Cherokee culture unique to Western North Carolina. Honoring the past, we make investments in rural communities for the benefit of present and future generations.

  • To conserve the waters, forests, farms and heritage of the Upper Little Tennessee and Hiwassee River Valleys.

  • Mission: To inspire conservation of the natural world by helping guests explore, understand and value the wonders of Grandfather Mountain.

  • The Mission of the Council is to advocate the sustainability of North Carolina’s urban forests through the use of economic, human, and environmental resources.

  • The CRA is a nonprofit organization established and maintained by a community of people – multi-national corporations, small businesses, local government, state government agencies, and individuals across the Carolinas who are committed to waste reduction and recycling efforts. With over 300 member organizations (over 800 individuals), the CRA is ever growing and changing to benefit our members and the recycling industry.

  • To engage North Carolina in initiatives that advance environmental health and justice by advocating for safe alternatives to harmful pesticides and chemicals.

  • To support the North Carolina mountains to Sea Trail from Clingmans Dome to Jockey's Ridge.

  • To empower citizens to be advocates for livable communities and the natural environment of Western North Carolina.

  • To tackle the climate crisis and other hazards posed by electricity generation.
