The Program Support Specialist is responsible for implementing services to families with children in order to determine eligibility for the Child Care Subsidy program. This includes processing Child Care Subsidy applications, interviewing clients and determining eligibility. The position is responsible for utilizing information collected from clients and ensuring data-entry and calculations are accurate when determining eligibility and parent fees.
The Program Support Specialist is also responsible for managing the agency’s early literacy programs. The Program Support Specialist is tasked with increasing and maintaining enrollment in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library and managing all community events that are designed to enroll families in our programming, including the organization of a book sale fundraiser. The Program Support Specialist will work with three pediatric clinics to implement the evidence-based Reach Out and Read program and is responsible for recruiting and managing a small volunteer base.
All components of the work require an ability to effectively communicate and assist people of various backgrounds, interview potential clients, collect, compile and analyze data, and be knowledgeable of community resources to better meet the needs of the families we serve.
A high level of computer experience with Microsoft Office programs is required. The Program Support Specialist should be able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in an ever changing work environment.
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood, Elementary Education or a Human Service related field preferred, but a combination of experience will also be considered. The Program Support Specialist should have the ability to effectively communicate and assist people of various backgrounds, interview potential clients, collect, compile and analyze data. Computer experience with Microsoft Office programs is required. Basic knowledge of Adobe is a plus. The individual should be able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks. Familiarity with the early childhood field/system is preferred. Individuals who are bi-lingual are encouraged to apply.

$14 - $17 per hour for a 35 hour week. Plus an additional $450 monthly salary supplement.
