Durham Congregations In Action (DCIA) seeks to contract with a part-time Program Manager for HomeShare Durham, to screen and match low-income home seekers with home providers prepared to rent space in their homes at below-market rates. This Program Manager will conduct application assessments and reviews, perform background checks, facilitate rental agreements, conduct follow-up assessments, solve problems, promote the program in the community, and consult with the HSD Steering Committee on fundraising. Initially a 6-month contract for services requiring estimated 12-15 hours/week, potential for development into regular staff position. BSW and 2 years’ experience in human services sought; or additional experience in homeless or housing services, or with low-income households; MSW preferred. Valid driver’s license, ability to lift 15 lbs, frequent driving, walking, step-climbing required; proficiency in MS Office and Google apps required.
