Description:

Individual will coordinate and collaborate with project manager on Collaborative Cottage Grove project.  Position requires the ability to engage people from a variety of backgrounds with the goal of addressing housing conditions which negatively impact the health of residents.  Tenant advocacy and discussions with developers will be part of this position's duties.  Successful candidate will have at least a bachelors degree in public health and a strong desire to engage the community in making a difference in the housing conditions which impact health.  Experience in the healthcare area may be used in lieu of the degree requirement.  Coordinator will conduct health assessments in the community.  Conducting and/or attending outreach events in the community of Cottage Grove with the goal of increasing awareness of housing as it impacts childhood asthma.  The successful person will be able to discuss health issues with various medical professionals.  This position requires an ability to multi-task and take ownership of the project requirements.  The position also requires an ability to work with various other agencies in order to reach the desired outcomes in this project.

From $38,000 to $44,000 depending upon experience.
