The Clemmons Community Foundation exists to unlock the full potential of Clemmons and surrounding communities by connecting people and resources in ways that meaningfully transform our communities for a better future. A core mission of the CCF is to strengthen the people, places, and partnerships that hold our communities together, build new connections to those in our communities who need us, and ensure our area continues to be a community people of all ages want to call home.  Established in 2004, the Clemmons Community Foundation has provided support for several charitable and non-profit organizations serving the communities of Clemmons and Lewisville, and greater Forsyth County.  After recent gifts exceeding ten million dollars, the CCF seeks to hire its founding Executive Director to lead the Foundation into the future.

Executive Director Mission
• Participates in strategic planning processes, in partnership with the Board, to execute the Foundation’s long-term mission of building a sense of community and making community connections within Clemmons and surrounding areas
• Ensures well-developed, high impact community initiatives that execute the mission
• Initiates, encourages and monitors collaboration and cooperation among community organizations and grant recipients
• Ensures development of revenue streams to best and appropriately support the mission and goals of the organization
• Oversees and participates in revenue development and fundraising efforts
• Researches potential new donors and establishes platform for solicitation of major gifts
• Identifies and develops collaborative projects and partnerships with other community providers and business leaders
• Provides strategic and operational support for existing and future sub-groups of the Foundation

Organizational Management
• Effectively develops business systems and strategies and ensures appropriate implementation.
• Maintains ethical standards and accountability, manages risk, and implements operational best practices.
• Leads and develops staff
• Ensures that the organization is compliant with all laws and guidelines governing nonprofit organizations
• Based on Board's direction and staff input, ensures that the organization has an annual operations plan that is aligned with its strategic plan
• Monitors and adapts to changes in the business environment.

Finance
• Ensures optimal financial performance of the Foundation
• Maintains proper record keeping and ensures internal financial controls
• Assists the Board of Directors with the development and management of the annual budget
• Reviews analysis of financial status on regular basis to discern trends and identify areas for improvement in partnership with the Board Treasurer

Public Relations
• Functions as the primary spokesperson for the Foundation
• Develops an annual communications plan, including crisis planning and training for board and future staff
• Develops media relations and maximizes media opportunities

Position Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
• Knowledge of leadership and management principles as they relate to non-profits/community foundations
• As the founding executive director, the candidate must have the ability to proactively establish the Foundation back office from the ground up
• Proven experience with major gift procurement, volunteer management, board development, budgeting and fiduciary responsibility, communications and grant making
• Proficiency in MS Office, QuickBooks, and other Organizational Management Tools

Work Environment
• Full-time position
• Work hours are flexible with some evening and weekend work required for community outreach
• Local travel consistently required
• Will require the establishment of the main office and Foundation home
