For decades the North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence’s biennial conference has served as an opportunity for dedicated anti-violence advocates and allied professionals to share community, knowledge, and visions of a violence free North Carolina.
In 2020 we hoped to continue this tradition by Tending to Our Roots to explore innovative solutions in programming, service, and research in our movement for the purpose of bettering the lives of domestic violence survivors and their loved ones. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, many of us instead had to refocus our efforts on innovative solutions for supporting survivors in a pandemic. In 2022, we are excited to reconvene our partners in celebration of all their innovation, and with the intention of providing rest and gratitude for all they have done for survivors and the domestic violence movement.
Tending to Our Roots is an opportunity to aspire for abundance in a time of uncertainty. Tending to Our Roots inspires us to look at innovation in our movement using an intersectional, anti-violence lens, centering all the energy we’ve already invested and all the work we’ve yet to explore. We look forward to celebrating our community commitment to ending domestic violence in North Carolina.
Early Bird Registration is open through April 4. Group discounts are available based on group size and organization size. A limited number of half and full scholarships are available; applications received by March 29 will be prioritized.
