Nonprofit Essentials - Fund Development

This course is designed to meet the real-world needs and challenges nonprofit organizations face every day related to fundraising. The course is taught in an active learning style and includes case studies and a take-away project, making the learning experience both substantive and enjoyable. The course offers a complete overview of the development function, featuring the most current information and techniques, and will provide an overview of skills, strategies, and program components for individuals with zero to four years of fundraising experience. Particular emphasis will be dedicated to discussing how COVID-19 has impacted the work of nonprofit development offices and their ability to raise critical philanthropic support to meet an organization’s needs.

This class is part of HandsOn NWNC's 10-series Nonprofit Essentials Class. Participants can register for individual classes or the full series.

Nonprofit Essentials classes are taught primarily by Wake Forest University staff, faculty, and alums. Participants who finish all classes will receive a Certificate of Completion from Wake Forest University and HandsOn NWNC.
