Fundraising and Donor Development During Times of Uncertainty

This webinar will provide guidance on best practices for individual donor development and navigating the fundraising challenges presented by the pandemic. Raising money from individual donors is key to the survival of nonprofit organizations - and finding and cultivating individual donors is a work-intensive, long-term investment. Participants will learn to adapt their fundraising techniques for successful individual giving, including cultivation strategies and making “the ask." This session will also feature strategies for hosting virtual events, as well as creative ways to reach and engage donors when an organization cannot physically host an event.

At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the most-effective “best practices” related to building relationships with individual donors.
  • Create an action plan to increase board engagement in individual donor development.
  • Assess resource development processes and identify ways to improve or establish an effective annual campaign.
  • Begin the process to create virtual events as fund and friend raisers.

This is the first in the Fundraising for Nonprofits, a new training series from the Triangle Nonprofit & Volunteer Leadership Center.
