Description:

The Development and Community Relations Manager works closely
with the Head of School and the Board of Trustees, building a strong culture of
philanthropy and community throughout the organization.
• Oversee all aspects of the Development program, including fundraising and
leading the annual giving program.
• Plan events for fundraising, community-building, education, and more.
• Coordinate the school’s volunteerism efforts.
• Develop and maintain relationships with parents, former parents, staff, students,
Board members, vendors, and alumni.
• Work with the Head of School, Development Committee, and Director of
Admissions to identify, research, and spearhead the implementation of a diverse
and multi-faceted fundraising program to support the school’s strategic vision,
cultivating a culture of giving and gratitude across all constituencies and socioeconomic
strata.
• Maintain a database of all contributors and provide development reports as
required.
• Participate with the admissions office on PR initiatives and the marketing and
communications office to create/produce fundraising related communication
materials to expand and enhance the school’s visibility and reputation.
• Strengthen relationships with the school’s alumni and further develop alumni
programming.
• Represent the school at various gatherings and conferences and represent the
administration at monthly meetings of the Family Association.
• Proofread various communications for the administrative staff.
• Support the admissions process, to include some/all of the following: tours,
phone calls/emails, processing applications, and/or data collection/entry.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School or Director of
Admissions and Communications.

Job Requirements:

Education
• Bachelor’s degree required - Major in Business, Educational or Nonprofit Administration, or Communications (or a related field) is strongly preferred.

• Expertise in MS Office
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Montessori experience (as student, teacher, or parent), Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud,
and/or html a plus
