The Cosmic Rays Film Festival is an annual celebration of artists' cinema. Each year, we present several programs of short films by filmmakers from North Carolina and around the world that are formally inventive; speak with a personal voice; and are inspired by the possibilities of film as art.
Family Reading Partners is a research-informed program where trained early literacy mentors model reading and conversational techniques for parents that nurture brain development, language acquisition, and the social/emotional health of their children during the critical growth years from birth to five years. We encourage daily book sharing by providing high quality children’s books for families to read and keep at home with the goal that the children are “ready-to-read” when they enter kindergarten.
The Friends of Chapel Hill Public Library is dedicated to the support of the Chapel Hill Public Library. The Friends raise funds for the Library through the sale of books donated by the community, annual membership fees, and donations. Funds are used to enhance collections and provide support for a wide variety of Library programs and initiatives.
Friends is an association of persons interested in promoting the well-being of all older adults in Orange County by supporting the development and full use of the Robert and Pearl Seymour Center, currently located at 2551 Homestead Rd. Chapel Hill, NC 27516. Said organization exists for charitable and educational purposes to receive and provide financial support derived from memberships, gifts, endowments, bequests, grants, memorials, and fundraising projects for the facility, programs and other related activities which the Center offers.

We provide respite for women with cancer through respite events for healing, mind, body and spirit.
Our mission is to save small farms. The Heritage Farm Foundation, Inc (HFF) works to preserve small farms along with the cultural and historic traditions of small farming through conservation, youth and novice education, community advocacy, launching the next generation of beginning farmers. HFF provides services which support organizations, the community, and individuals in forwarding the future of farming and employment in agriculture.
