The Thomas S. Kenan Institute for the Arts at the UNC School of the Arts is an arts service organization that serves as a bridge between campus and community by developing artist leaders, supporting creative careers and businesses, and engaging in creative placemaking. The Institute supports the exploration of new knowledge to cultivate leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators who can tackle complex challenges in the communities in which they live and work.
We collaborate with local residents and leaders from diverse perspectives to understand our city’s challenges, forge new relationships, and act on the best solutions together.
The purpose of this organization is to provide guidance and support to senior citizens and others who choose to stay at home as they face the complex array of health, personal, social, and home services that will become increasingly necessary as they age.

At TKG Growth Collaborative, we are dedicated to expanding the horizons of underserved, marginalized, and economically disadvantaged students by granting them access to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) opportunities. We achieve this by orchestrating BrainyBuilders mobile STEM camps, which deliver immersive and interactive learning experiences, fostering the development of vital skills and nurturing the aspirations of students towards promising STEM careers. Our ultimate objective is to provide a launchpad for young minds to embark on a thrilling journey into the realm of STEM.
