Location: Organization is based in Chapel Hill.  Position works out of Chapel Hill office and telecommutes.  Occasional travel within Triangle area.
20-25 Hours per week, flexible hours, between December 2017 and May 2018.  Position will begin at  around 10 hours per week for 1 to 2 weeks and then increase to 20-25 hours per week.
$18 p/hour DOE

The Psychoanalytic Center of the Carolinas (PCC) is a non-profit organization that promotes and supports psychoanalytic education, practice, and service in the Carolinas.  We are looking to hire part-time, temporary help to support our training and education programs for a 4 to 5 month period between December 2017 and May 2018.

Reporting to the Administrator, the Administrative Coordinator will support the training and educational programs of the PCC.  This includes, among other tasks, creating and distributing applications, registrations, evaluations, invoices, and mailing lists.  Responsibilities also include maintaining student/faculty handbooks, budget reports, brochures, class rosters, attendance records, updates to the website, and reports for the Continuing Education boards (APsaA/ACCME, APA, NBCC). 

This position is 20-25 hours per week over 4-5 days each week.  The organization is based in Chapel Hill and Cary, however the Administrative Coordinator will work from the Chapel Hill office and telecommute.  Occasional travel within the Triangle area is expected. 


  •  Bachelor’s Degree preferred.  Two years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a non-profit organization.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and written/verbal communication skills. Flexible and adaptable.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher). Experience with Adobe Acrobat preferred. Familiarity with video conferencing programs (Zoom, Vsee etc..) a plus.
  • Interest and passion for community based programs, mental health and/or psychoanalysis, and non-profit work preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of business management concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to successfully work with students and faculty
  • Demonstrate initiative and good judgment.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and good driving record.
