What You Need to Know About Major Nonprofit Tax Law Changes

Event Date:
Thursday, December 7, 2017 - 1:00pm - 2:30pm

This fall, Congress is in the process of rewriting the Internal Revenue Code with the dual goals of lowering individual and corporate income tax rates and simplifying our nation's tax laws. This tax overhaul has major implications for all 501(c)(3) nonprofits. Among other things, the tax reform proposals could reduce charitable giving, politicize 501(c)(3) nonprofits, eliminate financing options for nonprofits, and create new taxes on certain nonprofit activities. David Heinen, Vice President of Public Policy and Advocacy, will discuss the looming changes and how they will affect your nonprofit.

In this webinar, you'll discover:

  • The important potential changes in the House and Senate bills and how they compare;
  • The latest on the status of tax reform negotiations in Washington;
  • Important action steps you and your constituents can take; and
  • What your nonprofit needs to do implement changes THIS MONTH if tax reform becomes law, since many provisions affecting nonprofits would take effect on January 1, 2018.
