The Alamance Battlegrounds Friends, Inc is a North Carolina nonprofit corporation formed under the North Carolina Nonprofit Corporation Act. The mission of the Alamance Battleground Friends, Inc. is to support, enhance, and promote education, interpretation, and preservation at the Alamance Battleground Historic Site. Alamance Battleground Friends, Inc. carries out this mission by:
• providing support and guidance to the site coordinators
• securing financial donations and grants to support site programs, and
To promote and enhance creative and performing arts in the greater Southport area
The Friends of Oberlin Village Preserves, Honors and Educates the public about Oberlin, the largest Reconstruction-era black settlement in Wake County.
The Charlotte Folk Society is dedicated to promoting the ongoing enjoyment and preservation of traditional and contemporary folk music, dance, crafts, and lore in the Carolinas Piedmont since 1982.
The High Point Historical Society collects, preserves and showcases the history of greater High Point to foster a shared appreciation of our community reflected in the stories, events and traditions of our past.
