Description:

Cumberland Community Foundation (“CCF”) is seeking a professional to lead community grantmaking to maximize outcomes and increase awareness among key stakeholders.

Overview:
Responsible for most aspects of the community foundation’s:
• grantmaking,
• communications about the foundation’s grant-related impact, and
• relationships with nonprofit organizations.

Work with the team to maximize the impact and advance the mission of Cumberland Community Foundation (CCF): 
Giving together to enhance the quality and spirit of community life.

Grant Program Administration:
Provide leadership for the community grantmaking programs, including program research, proposal evaluation, grant tracking, post grant evaluation, maintenance of grant records, research on community needs, and implementation of in-house projects.

Manage Community Grantmaking for High Impact Results -
• Conduct community grants programs in accordance with CCF policies and in compliance with National Standards for US Community Foundations and all applicable laws.
• Lead implementation of community grant cycles including communications with prospective and current grantees, application receipt and evaluation, grant management and documentation, scheduling, and staffing committee work:
   o Finalize approved proposals and prepare for funding including applicant award notifications, decline notifications, grant design and conditions, grant entry into grants management system, grant management timeline (evaluation/ reporting/ payments), grant letter, and grant agreement.
   o Evaluate individual grantee reports (interim and final), confirm compliance, manage noncompliance, document impact, and share results with leadership.
   o Provide prospective grant applicants with the tools and information needed via information sessions, website pages, and other communications. 
   o Analyze applications and prepare for grants committee review, including providing background research on proposals, organizations, community collaborations, local/statewide/national trends.
   o Manage the Outstanding Conditions Report for awarded grants.
• Ensure accurate and timely filing, documentation, and archiving of community grant programs and related activities.
• Lead and support volunteer grant advisory committees through the evaluation of applications and selection of high impact proposals through a positive and efficient volunteer experience.

Communications and Events:
Provide leadership for communications, fundraising, events, and other marketing activities.
• Develop and produce communications about grants, programs, and impact including quarterly e-newsletter, donor communications, social media posts, and annual report.
• Maintain sections of the website related to impact.
• Lead or assist with foundation events and presentations.  
• Connect donors to impact through site visits, targeted information meetings in interest areas, other donor services, as directed.

External Community Relations:
Represent the organization and provide leadership in priority impact areas.
• Represent CCF at community meetings, as assigned. (Examples: public safety initiative, regional clean air program, grantee long range planning teams, outreach to veterans project, military child forum, homeless coalition, senior service providers convening. These meetings may occur in the evenings.)
• Keep foundation leadership informed about community initiatives, community needs, and opportunities for impact.
• Working with the Executive Director, convene stakeholders to address community needs according to the priorities of the foundation. 

Other Duties:
Actively engage in the success of the foundation team.
• Provide other support including meeting set up and break down, database management, processing documents and reports, and assisting other staff as needed to achieve the mission of the foundation.
• Other duties as assigned to achieve the mission, vision, values, and strategic goals.

Hiring Information, Requirements, and Instructions

Hiring Information:
Reports to Executive Director
Full time / exempt

Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm.
Evening/weekend meetings, as needed.

Experience / Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Leadership experience and relationship management preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to research and analyze data, organize and manage multiple projects.
Experience developing multi-channel communications.
Experience and success in working with diverse populations.
Experience in database management.
Skilled at Microsoft Office.

Other Requirements:
Must be able to set up, breakdown meeting tables and chairs and carry 20 pounds up a flight of stairs.
Must have valid driver’s license and transportation to be used in the course of the job.
Evening meetings required two or three times per month.
