Wake County Sheriff's Office and Grant Writing USA will present a two-day grants workshop for beginning and experienced grant writers.

Learn how to find grants from federal and state government grant makers, foundation grant programs, and corporate giving programs, and how to track grant opportunities so you don't miss application deadlines.

Also learn about the essential components of a grant proposal package, customizing proposals to match grant makers’ interests, approaching a funder, the differences between government and foundation proposals, reporting on a grant's progress and impact, developing relationships with grant makers, what to do if your proposal is denied, and the behind-the-scenes decisions that determine proposal acceptance and denial.

Tuition is $425 per person and includes a workbook, 300+MB resource CD, two days of instruction, and lifetime, free access to Grant Writing USA’s Alumni Forums (lunch on your own 12-1:20 p.m. each day). Nonprofits can take advantage of a special tuition rate of $395 (use code "NCNPO" to receive this $30 discount). Tuition payment is not required at the time of enrollment. Seating is limited, online reservations are necessary.
