Description:

One of the most unique and interesting association/insurance operations in the country is looking for a dynamic, positive and high-performing professional to join its team.  This position is responsible for full-cycle management of IIANC’s association management system (AMS), currently iMIS, to include oversight of data integrity, security, staff support and training, development of standard operating procedures, and increased utilization. The Data Manager will also serve as the internal and external point of contact for all AMS related matters, including owning the relationship with the AMS Consultant and/or Solution Provider. The Data Manager will also play a key role in the data collection and analysis of information to give the association valuable insights into what our members value and need, thus leading to improved marketing efforts and an exceptional member experience. The Data Manager will report to the Chief Financial Officer.

Essential Duties:
• Serve as the primary database manager to include knowledge of data maintenance, event registration set up, order processing, member updates, report writing and other functionality within the AMS
• Ensure overall database integrity:
o Establish and document standard operating protocols and business processes for data maintenance and governance
o Conduct routine data audits and identify areas for clean up

• Serve as the primary staff resource in the areas of data management and reporting:
o Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline report request and ensure accuracy of data
o Develop standard and customized operational, management, and ad-hoc reports
o Create dashboards for metrics reporting
o Oversee data flow/syncs for data analysis, including management of data imports, exports, and coding for member acquisition campaigns
• Provide back-up as needed for finance, membership, events/education, etc. functions in database

Process Improvement and Trouble Shooting:
• Proactively identify ways IIANC can better leverage the AMS and third party technology
• Lead transition from desktop to staff site, including report conversion and utilization of dashboards and panels
• Serve as main contact for technical support tickets to AMS consultant/solution provider and coordinate with IIANC IT or other third party vendors when needed
• Oversee database modules and third party product integrations and ensure optimal usage
• Oversee program upgrades and provide initial software installations and upgrades on workstations

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Business, IT or related field
• 3-5 years’ experience working with an Association Management System (iMIS preferred, iMIS 20/RiSE a plus)
• Ability to create Crystal and SSRS reports preferred
• Experience working in associations or non-profit environments preferred
• Excellent computer skills required
• Strong curiosity about data trends and information and how it can inform membership/marketing decisions for retention, acquisition, and engagement of members
• Experience performing and/or coordinating data loads and extracts for reporting purposes
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment, taking on multiple projects at a time
• Effective interpersonal, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer service required, as well as the ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
