We advocate for those individuals incarcerated in our prisons. We speak out for those without a voice by raising public awareness to the issues that adversely impact people incarcerated, their families and public safety. We identify serious problems people incarcerated face and bring them to the forefront of our policymakers for effective reform. We advocate for restorative rehabilitation to prevent the cycle of crime and recidivism. We advocate for effective and reliable programs for re-entry support and laws that will prevent adverse collateral consequences that ostracize people from returning to society after prison. We promote the dignity, well being and humane treatment of people in custody and advocate for alternatives to incarceration for non-violent crimes and treatment alternatives for the seriously mentally ill.
